Just yesterday #CancelNetflix was trending on all social media platforms as the streaming service debuted a new movie, Cuties. A short description of the movie says:
"Eleven-year-old Amy starts to rebel against her conservative family’s traditions when she becomes fascinated with a free-spirited dance crew."
But the content was a bit graphic for an 11 year old and even more disturbing as it appears to sexualize young women.
Now, in addition to #CancelNetflix trending on social media, #GirlfriendsOnNetflix is also trending because the black classic, Girlfriends, is now available to binge!
Canceling Netflix might be a bit much, but canceling Cuties wouldn't cause as much of an uproar as debuting it has I'm sure.
