I never thought I'd type the words "ancient pasties," but it seems that's what archaeologists believe they may have uncovered. Actually, they made it very clear that nipple covers & pasties are NOT the same thing, but I think it's all a matter of semantics.
I am DYING at the pictures (BELOW) and this article from Forbes.
Forbes says:
The Manchester Mummy's gold nipple covers are quite unlike the one whose image is being circulated this week, though. They are just that -- nipple covers, and not like pasties that obscure both the nipple and the areola. The history of pasties is much more recent.
