Will monkey own copyright for its selfie photos?

Let me start by saying I had to embed this photo from a facebook page instead of posting directly to my page.  WHY?!? Because I don't want to get sued by a monkey THAT'S WHY!

FULL STORY HERE

Basically in 2011 a photographer made a book of photos.  He spent time with monkeys and let them hold his camera.  They began snapping pics of themselves by accident.  David Slater, the nature photographer, took those photos and made a cool book of his experiences. PETA sued him for copyright infringement.  It is TRUE!  Whoever physically pushes the button is the owner of the photo.  NOT the owner of the camera.

I get it...but at some point this needs to stop!
