We're less than three weeks away from" Something in the Water" and if you're thinking about putting your place up for rent, it may not be a bad idea.
Airbnb says it expects hosts to make more than $600,000 combined the weekend of the "Something in the Water" festival. On Tuesday they released new data on its expected economic impact from the festival. The company said approximately 440 hosts will open their doors to guests -- 33% of which will be from some locality within the Commonwealth. Other guests will be coming to Virginia Beach from North Carolina, New York, Pennsylvania and Maryland, according to Airbnb.
The average price per room per night of a booked Airbnb for the festival is $247, which is under the average price of $256 in 2018, according to the company.
I currently live at my parents' place and they live in Newport News but if anyone wants to stay here during the festival I'll give you a discount.
