Ed Sheeran recently submitted plans to build a Saxon-style chapel on his Suffolk, England property. But because of his neighbor's concerns for a particular type of amphibian, it looks like the local government won't allow the construction to take place.
The portion of Ed's property in question is home to the great crested newt, a protected species in Great Britain.
One objector wrote: "It would appear that the applicant - in his desire to satisfy the needs of the spiritual world - continues to overlook his obligations to the living world, particularly that of protected species."
Another wrote: "Any damage to such habitats or the killing of such protected creatures can also lead to criminal or civil prosecutions."
Not only are the little lizards kicking his butt... the neighbors are, too!
