Boat Catches Fire in Virginia Beach

Having a boat is complicated and expensive. You have to not hit stuff, you have to know what a bilge is, and now, you have to not set it on fire. It's just easier to know someone that has a boat than to have your own.

This morning, firefighters responded to a boat fire in Virginia Beach. Now how do you put out a fire that's on the water? Well, not with water, apparently.

WAVY says that due to concerns that fuel may be on board, foam was used to extinguish the fire.

Nobody was hurt.

Reason #46 to make friends with a boat, not buy your own.
