The college football game between Fresno State and UCLA was an instant classic as the teams exchanged multiple scores in the fourth quarter before Fresno State ultimately pulled off a major upset over thirteenth ranked UCLA 40-37. The Bulldogs were led by QB Jake Haener, who put together a heroic performance in the fourth quarter. UCLA appeared to have the game sealed when they scored to go up 37-33 with 54 seconds left. Despite being in obvious pain, Haener led the game winning drive and threw the game winning touchdown pass with just 14 seconds remaining. Fresno State held off UCLA on the final possession and won an instant classic 40-37.
