Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck may be living their lives separately, but they reportedly have "every intention" of staying "connected" as they navigate their divorce.

A source recently told Page Six that the "On the Floor" singer and the Good Will Hunting actor want to stay in each other's lives even as their two-year marriage has come to an end, especially when it comes to keeping things normal for their respective children. Lopez shares 16-year-old twins Max and Emme with ex-husband Marc Anthony while Affleck is dad to three kids with ex-wife Jennifer Garner: Violet, 18, Seraphina, 15, and Samuel, 12.

"They have every intention of continuing to be in each other's lives despite not being romantically involved," the source said, adding that the exes want to keep things civil for the sake of their kids. "Ben and Jennifer are still connected and they do communicate when it involves their kids."

The source noted that the exes "have a lot of history," dating back decades to their first engagement in the early 2000s, and that they "have a mutual respect for one another" that is "not something that goes away" overnight.

Lopez filed for divorce from Affleck in August on the two-year anniversary of their Georgia wedding ceremony after months of speculation surrounding their rocky marriage. Despite their split, the Oscar-winning director recently made a rare comment supporting his ex in one of her new projects.
