Kelly Clarkson isn't looking to date anytime soon — and that's perfectly fine with her kids.

A source recently told People that the talk show host and "Stronger" singer is keeping her focus on her children and on work rather than looking for love, and both daughter River, 10, and son Remington "Remy," 8, are okay with that. Clarkson shares River and Remy with her ex-husband Brandon Blackstock, whom she divorced in 2021 after around seven years of marriage.

"She loves being a mom. Her kids have been clear that they don't want her to date so she's not," the source said, adding that Clarkson is fine with following her kids' wishes for the time being. "She feels very satisfied with life as it is. She knows as the kids get older, dating will be easier. This is not anything she misses at the moment."

About a year after finalizing her "difficult" divorce, Clarkson and her kids moved from Los Angeles to New York City in 2023, with the recently renewed The Kelly Clarkson Show also moving cross-country ahead of its fifth season. Despite some initial nerves, an insider to People that she has no regrets for making the big move.

"The move to NYC was a fresh start for her that she has never regretted," the source said. "She had not been happy in Los Angeles for a while but was still nervous about moving. It was the best decision for her though. They thrive as a family."
