Production Shut Down on 'Lizzie McGuire' Revival After Showrunner Exits

Looks like Disney+ has hit a wall with their new Lizzie McGuire sequel series.

Series creator Terri Minsky has stepped down as the showrunner, which means that production has been temporarily shut down.

She was also an executive producer, and it's unclear whether she'll keep that title, or remove herself completely.

Disney is now searching for a new showrunner before they start filming again.

“After filming two episodes, we concluded that we need to move in a different creative direction and are putting a new lens on the series," said a spokesperson.
