Golden Globes Ratings Hit Another Low

It looks like even Ricky Gervais couldn't save the 77th Annual Golden Globes.

The Nielsen ratings are in for Sunday night's show - and it averaged 18.3 million viewers with a 4.7 rating among adults 18-49.

That's only 2% below last year's show, but it continues a downward trend that's been affecting ALL award shows in the past few years. Most people now don't even bother to tune in to the show live, when they know all of the highlights will be available as shorter videos online soon after.

To give it a positive spin, NBC did rank it as the most-watched primetime entertainment program since the series finale of The Big Bang Theory on May 16th of 2019.
