J.J. Abrams and John Boyega Reignite 'Star Wars' Fan Debates On Twitter

A fire has started again in the Star Wars fandom after actor John Boyega and director J.J. Abrams had some not-so-positive words about The Last Jedi.

The movie directed by Rian Johnson has gotten a lot of criticism since its release in 2017, but for the first time, Boyega and Abrams revealed that they didn't love it either.

Talking to Hypebeast, Boyega said that Johnson’s movie is “a bit iffy” compared to what he thought was a “solid” start with “The Force Awakens.”

Abrams seemed to agree while talking to Vanity Fair, calling it “a bit of a meta approach to the story.”

Now, fans of the movie on Twitter are sticking up for Rian Johnson and The Last Jedi - saying that they don't deserve all the hate.
