WATCH: Alex Trebek Reveals Cancer Setback

Alex Trebek revealed yesterday (Tuesday) that he needs to undergo a second round of chemotherapy for his pancreatic cancer.

The Jeopardy host had a successful round of chemo this summer and was very optimistic, but he says "cancer is mysterious," and he's since lost a lot of weight and his numbers have skyrocketed. On Good Morning America, he said, "I was doing so well. And my numbers went down to the equivalent of a normal human being who does not have pancreatic cancer. So we were all very optimistic. And they said, 'Good, we're gonna stop chemo, we'll start you on immunotherapy.'"

Trebek says he lost about 12 pounds in one week and his numbers are now higher than they were when he was first diagnosed in March. Doctors have told him he needs a second round of chemo. He also revealed that he's been struggling with depression since he was diagnosed, but he knows that he just has to keep going forward -- and hosting Jeopardy helps him do that.
