John Stamos has come to Lori Loughlin‘s defense.
The Full House star has finally broken his silence on his co-star's legal problems in an interview with GQ. About Loughlin allegedly bribing her daughters' way into USC, Stamos says, “Whatever happened, I’m pretty sure that the punishment is not equal to the crime, if there was a crime.”
The actress and husband Mossimo Giannulli face up to 40 years in prison if convicted in the college admissions scandal.
Stamos adds, “I can’t figure it out. It doesn’t make sense. I talked to her the morning everything hit. I just can’t process it still.”
But Stamos won't speak any further on the issue. He says he wants to "wait until the trial happens, if it does, or whatever the result is, and then talk about it."
