The city of Virginia Beach is continuing to crack down on e-scooters - and now, some people want to ban them completely.
The City Council has a meeting tonight (Tuesday), where they could possibly be vote on whether or not the scooters should be banned from the Oceanfront.
Currently, people are only legally allowed to ride the e-scooters in the trolley lanes on Atlantic Avenue, but many people ride them every day all along the boardwalks and sidewalks.
Mayor Bobby Dyer and a few City Council members have asked for a new ordinance to be put in place - at least temporarily - because of safety concerns.
The city of Virginia Beach has an online survey to help with creating e-scooter guidelines. Residents and locals can take the survey here until September 3rd: publicinput.com/E-Scooters.
