George R.R. Martin Is Glad The'Game Of Thrones' TV Show Is Over

Fans may not have thought much of the final season of Game of Thrones, but creator George R.R. Martin is just glad that it's over now.

Martin was interviewed by The Observer and admitted that the finale was "a liberation," because it was slowing down his writing process for the book series.

“I don’t think [the TV series] was very good for me,” he said.

“The very thing that should have speeded me up actually slowed me down.”

He also said that the backlash doesn't bother him, because he knows you "can't please everybody."

He confirms that he won't release any spoilers about what he's writing, and the ending of the show won't change the course of what he was already working on.
