Sorry, Harry Styles fans - it looks like he's officially DECLINED the role of Prince Eric in the upcoming live-action adaptation of The Little Mermaid.
News broke yesterday from multiple sources that Harry was officially chosen for the role, and it spread fast.
But it turned out to be false information - and just a few hours later, it was confirmed that he instead passed on the opportunity.
A source close to Styles said, “While he is a fan of the project, he has respectfully declined the offer.”
The studio has indicated that their second choice will be announced soon.
Halle Bailey has been cast as Ariel, while Melissa McCarthy will play the villain Ursula.
