A YouTuber named Brooke Houts is currently being investigated by the Los Angeles Police Department for animal abuse after a video of hers went viral.
Brooke posted a new video to her 340,000 subscribers earlier this week which showed her hitting, pushing, and spitting on her dog Sphinx as he kept trying to jump on her and get her attention.
The backlash was strong and swift, and Brooke soon posted a lengthy apology on her Twitter.
She blamed her behavior on "frustration" due to personal reasons, but insisted she is "NOT a dog abuser or animal abuser in any way, shape, or form." She also revealed that the video was an unedited version that she posted accidentally.
“I would never do anything to purposefully physically or mentally harm any animal," she said.
Unfortunately, her apology has not been well-received, and many people are calling for her dog to be taken away from her.
Some people are even demanding that Brooke should be banned from YouTube.
