PETA Wants 'The Tonight Show' Investigated By NYC Health Department

PETA has publicly asked the New York City Health Department to investigate The Tonight Show for "improperly" allowing celebrities to play with animals on the show.

The animal rights organization is angry about NBC hiring Grant Kemmerer of Wild World Of Animals for various segments that involved celebrities touching animals, including Kate Beckinsale (The Widow) and Jacob Anderson (Game of Thrones).

The letter from PETA also takes issue with a segment in which Robert Irwin, son of the late Steve Irwin, handled many animals in front of the audience.

They claim that Grant Kemmerer didn’t have permission to let anyone other than himself and his employees touch the wildlife, and they're urging The Tonight Show to doing animal segments altogether.
