Warner Bros. Said Milo Ventimiglia Was "Too Old" To Play Batman

Milo Ventimiglia has been back in the spotlight lately due to his critically acclaimed performance in This Is Us, but could you imagine him playing the role of Batman?

The 42-year-old actor revealed on Variety and iHeart Radio's podcast The Big Ticket that he was actually interested in trying out for the role in Matt Reeves' upcoming reboot... until Warner Bros. said he was too old!

"Do I see myself in a cape and cowl? Warner Bros. didn’t," he said.

"They were looking for a new Batman, and they said, 'Ventimiglia, you're too old'."

For the record - Milo is 4 years younger than Ben Affleck, who previously played Batman. But Warner Bros. previously stated that with this new Batman movie, they wanted someone younger.

He seems to be perfectly fine with the decision though, saying "I'm kind of busy, so it's okay."

33-year-old Robert Pattinson will play Batman in the new movie, which is currently set for a summer 2021 release.
