'Game Of Thrones' Star Says Outrage Over Final Season Was "Silly"

Nikolaj Coster-Waldau is the latest Game Of Thrones star to comment on all the backlash over the final season.

He spoke at a Con of Thrones convention panel in Nashville over the weekend and defended the creators of the show.

“It happens every season,” he said.

“We’re so lucky to be part of a show where people care so much about it that you also get upset when it doesn’t go the way you want it to. That’s fantastic, I love it, and I love that there was an online petition to have it rewritten.”

Although he said he was very proud to be part of the show, Nikolaj also noted that it was "silly" for fans to think that the show writers "didn't spend the last 10 years" thinking about how the show would end.

"Everyone on Game of Thrones worked our a**es off to make the best show we could for the ending,” he said.
