Ariana Grande told Vogue magazine that most of last year was nothing but a blur.
She cannot recall much due to trauma and self-medicating with booze. Ariana said about the Thank U Nextalbum “I don’t really remember how it started or how it finished, or how all of a sudden there were 10 songs on the board.”
Ariana’s low point of 2018 occurred with the overdose death of ex-boyfriend Mac Miller. She said (quote) “He was the best person ever. He didn’t deserve the demons he had. I was the glue for such a long time but found myself becoming less and less sticky.”
Dating Pete Davidson was the numbing distraction she needed. Ariana admitted to Vogue “It was frivolous and fun and insane and highly unrealistic. I loved Pete -- and I didn’t know him.”
Ariana’s heartbreak started more than two years ago at the Manchester bombing. She raised millions in a charity concert, which she’s proud of “giving people a feeling of love or unity. But at the end of the day, it didn’t bring anyone back.”
