'Riverdale' Season Premiere Will Pay Tribute To Luke Perry

The death of Luke Perry affected the entire cast of Riverdale in March, as he played the loving father Fred Andrews and acted as a father figure to much of the cast.

The showrunners were unable to address his absence in the last few episodes of last season, but now creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa has revealed that the next season's premiere will honor Luke and his character.

"It's probably the most important episode of #Riverdale we’ll do this year, if not ever,” said Roberto.

The episode is titled “In Memoriam,"

It’s still unknown how the show will address the character Fred's absence, but Roberto previously said that they want to "make that story as great and emotional as it needs to be to honor both the character and the actor", and that the storyline will be a big part of the character Archie's journey in season 4.
