A New Jersey man has become the 9th American tourist to die while vacationing in the Dominican Republic.
55-year-old Joseph Allen was found dead in his room at the Terra Linda Resort last Thursday. His friends say he was complaining the night before about not feeling well and he went to his room to go to sleep. His family says he did not have any pertinent health issues and they are looking for answers.
Allen is the latest American tourist to die during a recent spate of mysterious deaths on the Caribbean island. Just two days earlier, a 53-year-old woman from New York died at a resort in Punta Cana. (NBC News)
