After the success of Bohemian Rhapsody and the hype surrounding Rocketman (in theaters today), Hollywood is already planning more music biopics - and next up for a movie about his life is Boy George.
MGM will be producing a biopic about the singer's life, following his childhood up until his rise to fame as the singer for Culture Club in the 80s.
Culture Club, along with George’s solo work, has sold more than 50 million albums and 100 million singles worldwide.
Sacha Gervasi, the director of Anvil: The Story of Anvil and My Dinner With Herve will write and direct. No word yet on a potential release date, or when production will actually begin.
MGM also currently has an Aretha Franklin movie in the works called Respect, which will star Jennifer Hudson as the late Queen of Soul.
