WATCH: TV Host's Massive Tattoo Fail

Carrie Ann Inaba admitted to a tragic misspelling of her ankle tattoo.

She asked the tattoo artist to give her “courageous love” written in Japanese characters (kanji). And for years she believed that’s what it said, until Carrie traveled to Japan and schoolgirls informed her that the tattoo says “rough sex.”

The irony being that Carrie Ann Inaba is of Japanese descent as well as Irish and Chinese.

She’s not the first nor the last to make this mistake. This year, Ariana Grande wanted a “7 Rings” tattoo. Instead the characters translated to “charcoal barbecue grill.” (New York Post)

Carrie Ann Inaba got the tattoo in the early '90s while dancing for Madonna on tour.
