Kelly Clarkson's a real trouper. It turns out that while she was hosting and performing on the Billboard Music Awards Wednesday, she was suffering pain from acute appendicitis. Just hours after the show ended, Kelly went under the knife and had her appendix removed.
She confirmed the news of the medical emergency in a tweet on Thursday, writing, (quote) "not gonna lie…I may or may not have broken down in tears after the show from pain."
She added, (quote) "BUT thanks 2 all the amazing people @ Cedars-Sinai I flew home directly after the event, nailed the surgery early this morning, & feeling awesome now! Bye bye appendix #TheShowMustGoOn." (Billboard)
