Taylor Swift performed her new single, "Me!," live for the first time on the Billboard Music Awards Wednesday night. Aside from being joined by co-vocalist Brendon Urie of Panic! At the Disco, Tay took the stage with a drumline in tow. The Beyhive was not impressed.
Beyoncé fans thought Taylor's performance looked suspiciously like their queen's 2018 Coachella performance, which recently reached Netflix as the concert film Homecoming.
The faithful took to Twitter to bash Tay for hijacking Bey's setup. One fan tweeted, "I don't know if y'all are seeing this but Taylor Swift is gentrifying Beyonce's Coachella performance right now."
Another one added a twist to Kanye West words when he famously bum-rushed Swift on stage at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, writing, "Taylor, imma let you finish, but Beyonce had the best drum line of all time." (US Weekly)
