Portsmouth native Missy Elliottย performed at Pharrellโs inaugural Something In The Water Festival in Virginia Beach over the weekend.
Before her performance, she made a surprise visit to her alma mater in Portsmouth โ Woodrow Wilson High School.ย
Missy toured the campus for an hour to see how much had changed since she graduated in the 90โs, and took selfies with the students and teachers. Before she left, she ended up giving the school a $25,000 donation!
Administrators have said they're not sure yet how they'll spend the money, but they're very grateful to Missy for the generous donation to the school she attended as a teenager.
