Nothing more awkward than being excited to meet one of your favorite stars, only to find out that they have no idea who you are.
That's what happened when HGTV design stars Chip and Joanna Gaines had the chance to meet Martha Stewart. They were both honored as part of Time’s 100 Most Powerful People in the World, after turning their show into a Magnolia design empire. The couple had asked actress Sophia Bush to introduce them to Stewart at the bash.
When we asked later about the meeting, Stewart insisted she had heard of Chip and Joanna Gaines’ growing business empire, but didn’t immediately recognize them when they were introduced at the Time 100 gala.
Meanwhile, Taylor Swift knew who they were and performed a closing set at the gala.
