French soccer club Paris Saint-Germain is the latest sports team to fall victim to the “Drake curse.”
Unlike Lil B’s Based God Curse, where the Bay Area rapper places a hex on his rivals, the Drake curse actually happens when the Toronto rapper tries to show support, which winds up backfiring. Usually the way it goes is Drake takes a picture with a star athlete or rocks a jersey, and the associated team suffers an embarrassing loss.
Most recently, Layvin Kurzawa posed with Drake, who is on his Assassination Vacation tour, before a championship match. Two days later, PSG suffered its worst loss in a decade. In the same game, the team captain and another player were injured.
