No one knows exactly why Lori Loughlin didn’t take a plea deal in the college admissions scandal, but an unnamed source has a theory. Apparently it’s not the thought of going to jail that concerns her. Word is...it’s how daughters Isabella and Olivia would take it.
“[Lori] is very concerned about what a guilty plea would do to her daughters, who may not have grasped everything that was going on,” the source said. “Yes, she can think about the public perception of her, but that’s nothing compared to what her daughters think of her. So that is something that has understandably made her less likely to enter a plea.”
Besides, 'Aunt Becky' didn’t see what she and her husband, Mossimo Giannulli, did as illegal or egregious. “She felt that she hadn’t done anything that any mom wouldn’t have done, if they had the means to do so,” the source notes. “So this wasn’t her being obstinate; this was her truly not understanding the seriousness of the allegations.” As we told you before, both she and her husband are each facing up to 40 years in prison.
