Itโs official โย Jeff Bezosย andย MacKenzieย have finalized their divorce...and it's the biggest in world history.ย As we told you,ย it was reported that the Amazon mogulโs alleged mistressย Lauren Sanchezย wanted to lay low until they were both single. Her split is โeffectively sealed,โ and now Bezos has filed his divorce petition with MacKenzie.
For her part, MacKenzie has taken toย Twitterย to share some of the terms of their split, revealing that sheโs given her ex 75-percent of their shared Amazon stock, and voted control of her own shares. The former couple shared a 16-percent stake in the company, with MacKenzieโs remaining four-percent worth around $35-billion (yes, with a B) and making her the fourth richest woman in the world.
As for Bezos, he's also shared a statement onย Twitter,ย full of nothing but praise for his now ex-wife. โIโm grateful for [MacKenzieโs] support and for her kindness in this process and am very much looking forward to our new relationship as friends and co-parents,โ he writes. โIn all our work together, MacKenzieโs abilities have been on full display.
