okay...we all have a friend that LOVES them some kale. Deep down even they know Kale doesn't taste good. Somehow we convinced ourselves that this tree bark flavored vegetable tastes like broccoli. BREAKING...it doesn't! but ANYWAY...The Environmental Working Group(EWG), a civil watchdog group, just put out its annual "Dirty Dozen" and "Clean Fifteen" lists. Turns out this miracle veggie ranks #3 on the most pesticide contaminated vegetables. "More than 92 percent of kale had residue from at least two pesticides after washing and peeling the appropriate vegetables, according to the report". To be fair strawberries are #1

and another BUT...."The health benefits of a diet rich in fruits and vegetables outweigh the risks of pesticide exposure," EWG Research Analyst Carla Burns said in a release.
