Jussie Smollett: Spy Cameras Captured Each Step of "Attack"

Our high-tech surveillance society helped the Chicago Police Department investigate the Jussie Smollett “attack.”

Yesterday, a police spokesperson detailed how 20 private security cameras captured the precise movements of the two brothers allegedly hired to “attack” Jussie Smollett.

Another 35 Chicago police “pod cameras” filled in the time gaps. For example, the brothers waited on a bench for Smollett, who arrived four minutes later than the plan. The staged attack lasted 45 seconds – according to surveillance video.

Police identified the brothers Ola and Abel Osundairo because they used Uber to arrive to the scene. They left in a taxi, which has an in-car camera that captured high-resolution images of their faces.

Finally, phone records connected Jussie Smollett to the brothers. They spoke the hour before the event and an hour afterward. Smollett even called them, in the middle of the investigation, while the brothers traveled to Nigeria. (The Wrap)
