Meghan Markle was treated to a lavish baby shower yesterday in New York City. Stars including Gayle King, Amal Clooney, Serena Williams, and Meghan’s former “Suits” co-star Abigail Spencer arrived at The Mark hotel for the celebration. While the guest list may have been small, it was certainly no modest affair.
Here’s what we know about the Royal-worthy party – Sources tell Page Six that Clooney and Williams co-hosted the shower at the five-star hotel’s penthouse, which reportedly goes for $75,000 a night. It’s said that the hotel’s chef made a special menu just for the shower, and that every guest received trendy Away suitcases, which can be customized with monograms and include built-in phone chargers.
We also know that there was a cotton candy machine involved, which is probably Meghan’s doing just for the guests – she’s known for spoiling her friends and colleagues like that, even at the Palace. And as for the gifts for Meghan, a crib by eco-friendly Babyletto was seen being wheeled into the hotel.
