The career of Mandy Moore has soared on the NBC show This Is Us since divorcing Ryan Adams. She claimed his “controlling behavior” blocked her rise in the music biz and wrecked her confidence.
Mandy Moore and six other women detailed the verbal, emotional and sexual abuse by musician Ryan Adams. Moore said he took control of her music career only to stifle it.She toldThe New York Times,(quote) “What you experience with him — the destructive, manic behavior. You feel like there’s no way others have been treated like this.”
Six women had similar stories about Ryan Adams. They painted him as a predatory and controlling monster. He threatened to retaliate if they did not sexually satisfy him. One woman claimed Ryan started to groom her at age 14 with Skype chats. He texted, “If people knew, they would say I was like R.Kelly lol.”
Ryan Adams denied the allegations. He responded with several tweets including, (quote) “I am not a perfect man and I have made many mistakes. To anyone I have ever hurt, however unintentionally, I apologize deeply and unreservedly.”
