Guess we won’t be seeing anymore IG video rants from Cardi B – for now. Apparently after her history making GRAMMY win, she shut down her page in response to critics who think she’s undeserving of her Best Rap Album trophy.
BUT, before deleting her Instagram, Cardi uploaded a video addressing the naysayers and she called out BET for firing off that “Nicki Minaj’s getting dragged by her lace front” tweet in response to her to her GRAMMY win. “It’s not my style for people to put other people down to uplift somebody else, that’s not my style and that’s not what I’m with and I don’t support that,”she explained. “However, I been taking a lot of s*** today, I’m seeing a lot of bulls*** today and I saw a lot of s*** last night. And I’m sick of this s*** I worked hard for my motherf***g album.”
Mrs.Offset then pointed out the reactions from last year’s Grammys results when everyone supported her, but now people want to drag her.“I remember last year when I didn’t win for ‘Bodak Yellow,’ everybody was like, ‘Cardi got snubbed, Cardi got snubbed.’ Now this year’s a f****g problem?” she said. “My album went two-time platinum, my n***. And every chart that there was, my album was always top 10. Number one album as well.”
Cardi then went on to say not only did she “work her a** off” to make the album she was also very pregnant at the time. “I f***g worked my a** off, locked myself in the studio for three months, my n***, then went to sleep in my own bed, sometimes for four days straight, pregnant. Some songs couldn’t even get on the f*****g album because my nose was so f****g stuffy from my pregnancy. N****s couldn’t sleep, n***s couldn’t do s***. While everybody was harassing me, ‘You not gonna do it—we know you’re pregnant, your career is over!”
