Forget Keto, Chris Pratt is taking part in a new diet trend. It’s called the Daniel Fast, a 21-day program that involves praying and fasting. The actor has taken to his Instagram story to give fans an update on his progress on the “partial fast,” encouraging them to “check it out.”
What’s it all about? Basically, you can only drink water and eat foods grown from seeds – that includes any form of vegetable, fruit, grains, legumes and nuts, along with healthy oils like canola, olive and peanut. Meat, animal and dairy products aren’t allowed, as well as deep fried foods and sweeteners.
According to the Daniel Fast website, it’s based on “the fasting experiences of the Old Testament Prophet.” Pratt jokes that he will “probably be hallucinating” by the time he starts doing the press rounds for the “Lego Movie 2,” which will coincide with his fasting schedule.
