We previously reported that Amanda Bynes made a comeback in an interview for PAPER Magazine’s recent “Break The Internet” issue. In the profile, she revealed that she “totally fought” for Tatum to get cast in the movie “She’s The Man” before he was famous. While he didn’t say much in response to her comments about getting him the job, the actor did express his excitement about her comeback in a recent interview.
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight at the premiere of “Magic Mike Live," Tatum admitted Bynes told him that she pushed for him to get the gig, taking the time to compliment her own performance in “She’s The Man.”
“She’s so talented and so special,” he added. “You never knew what was going to come out of her mouth, she was just on fire… I haven’t seen her in so long. I love you Amanda, and I hope you’re doing well.”
The actor also showed support for her admitted struggle with insecurity and drug abuse. “I think it’s so impossible when you start at such a young age to keep perspective,” he noted. “It’s tough.”
