Matt Lauer “Not Doing Well” a Year After “Today” Firing

Yesterday marked one year since Matt Lauer was fired from NBC’s “Today” over sexual misconduct allegations. Back in July, we reportedthat he and Annette Roque were finalizing their divorce. Now a source has given a little more information on how he’s doing these days.

According to the insider, the disgraced news anchor isn’t concerned with returning to work right now. But even so, he’s been struggling to adjust to his new, quieter lifestyle, adding that he’s “not doing well.” “He went from being a super busy person to having nothing but time on his hands,” the source notes.

To make use of his newfound free time, he’s reportedly been focusing his attention on his children. “He is working on his relationship with his kids,” the source offers. “They have a good relationship, but they’ve been through a lot.”

And while he and Roque work out their divorce settlement, he hasn’t been dating, either.
