Martha Stewart has a bone to pick with Uber. She took to Instagramyesterday to reveal that she had taken first ever Uber ride…but it turned out to be less of a convenient and lavish experience than she had hoped. To quote her famous tag line, it seems it wasn't "a good thing."
Stewart explains that she ordered “the most expensive” Uber to pick her up in front of Tiffany’s in New York City, and the first car didn’t even show up. When the second arrived ten minutes later, she says it didn’t even pull up where she was waiting, instead parking “halfway down” the street. On top of that? Stewart says it was facing the wrong direction, so the driver had to take some extra time to make its way to the other side of the busy Manhattan street.
As for the interior, it was filthy! In the pics, there may be complimentary water bottles but there’s also a load of complimentary leaves and dirt and dust all over. It’s not like she’s shaming them just to make a scene, either, as she claims she “wants Uber to succeed” and has “been a fan of the concept since day one.” Check out her post below.
