Ben Affleck took a field trip from rehab treatment to plead with studio execs for his Batman gig.
Warner Brothers balked at the insurance costs for Ben, who five weeks ago entered alcohol abuse treatment. Apparently, producers have reconsidered. They’ve supposedly struggled to find a replacement Bruce Wayne. On Wednesday, Affleck visited the movie lot with a script in hand.
Production starts next summer on the next movie in the series, whether Affleck is sober or not. There’s heavy lifting ahead for Ben. He’s out of shape and bloated from excessive drinking.
Jon Hamm said he’s interested and slightly more sober than Affleck, (quote) “I am a huge comic book fan. I've read them since I was nine.” (Daily Mail)
