Oh Dancing With the Stars... Last time we talked about it I mentioned how it seems that the show no longer know what the term "stars" means... Well this past week the show released the official cast line-up and it's worse than I thought.
Last week we already knew that the follow stars we're going to be on the show: Nancy McKeon, Mary Lou Retton, Bobby Bones, Alexis Ren, John Schneider, DeMarcus Ware, Danelle Umstead, Juan Pablo Di Pace. Let's get to know the rest of the "stars".
Joe Amabile - aka Grocery Store Joe. If you're not part of Bachelor Nation you probably have NO IDEA who this guy is. He was let go after the first night on The Bachelorette, Becca's season, and for some reason the country fell in love with him. Then he came back for Bachelor in Paradise and now he's on DWTS. I no longer know what a "star" is.
Milo Manheim - according to wikipedia he was in a Disney Channel Original Movie, which would explain why he's on the show. Every season the show has a Disney Channel star and this season this is their "star". I'm sure if I still watched Disney Channel I would have recognized him. Maybe...
Evanna Lynch - you might not recognize her name but if you're a fan of Harry Potter you probably recognize her face. Lynch played Luna Lovegood in the Harry Potter film series. She's done other things but that's really what she's known for, especially in the U.S.
Nikki Glaser - according to wikipedia she's a stand up comedian who also has a podcast, but at this point EVERYONE has a podcast. She also has a television show on Comedy Central. I definitely see Glaser doing this show as a way to promote herself, not because she has nothing else going on in life.
Tinashe - I feel like Tinashe is definitely someone that you wouldn't recognize her name, face, and I've just now realized I've gotten her confused with Natalie La Rose this whole entire time. I know Tinashe's name but I can't think of a SINGLE song of her's right now. So there's that...
That's the rest of the line up! This season... I feel like maybe only 4 or 5 of the people are actually stars. I think DWTS is scraping the bottom of the barrel at this point. But what do you think? Let me know!
