Justin Bieberโs manager Scooter Braun admits there were times Justin was in such a โdark placeโ that he feared the singer would overdose and die.
โThere was a time when I would go to sleep almost every night โ when he had the money to fly away from me โ and I was worried every night that I was gonna lose him,โ Braun told Van Lathanโs โThe Red Pillโ podcast. โI thought he was going to die. I thought he was going to sleep one night and that he would have so much crap in his system that he would not wake up the next morning.โ
Scooter says during this time he wouldnโt allow Justin to work, even though he wanted to, because he thought for sure โif he did that, he would die.โ He notes, โI didnโt want him to work, I wanted him to get healthy.โ
Scooter gives Justin all the credit for getting clean, noting he โmade a conscious choice for himself to change.โ He adds, โIt wasnโt until one day he woke up and said, โHey, I need to talk to you. I donโt want to be this person anymore.โโฆthe result is who heโs become today, and that is the result of his own decision, no one elseโs.โ
