Hey, quick invite to something that seems local and fun for the family tomorrow. Down the street from where I live is the 2nd annual Save The Bay Family Day at the Brock Environmental Center. It's a pretty cool spot that is hidden near the Lesner Bridge and chicks beach. OH...and there's Beer!!
I'll be out there with the Fam most likely wearing some type of radio station shirt. That's half my wardrobe so shut up. Follow me on Instagram for more at @SGNTIAS
Here's a snippet from their website to give you a better idea:
- Cruise the Bay with Captains Jimmy and Yancey aboard the Jenny S
- Learn about bees in their natural habitat
- Make a fish-print bandana
- Meet a mermaid!
- Build an oyster cage
- Science time: Dissect an oyster or menhaden
- See a live bug display
- Live Bay critter touch tank
- Face painting
- Treasure hunt
- Build an oyster filter
- And much more!
The Cast Iron Catering food truck will be back with their delicious creations, along with Sofrito and a new vegan food truck, The Bumbling Bee! Enjoy complimentary Jody's Popcorn, ice cream, and more. Our beer garden will feature brews from Devil's Backbone Brewing Company and more. We will also have our Rain Barrel beer available, made from CBF's Brock Environmental Center's treated rainwater. Not a beer drinker? Be one of the first to enjoy our new complimentary rainwater bar!
