A North Dakota mom bought a cell phone for her young kids and was shocked when it started receiving inappropriate text messages from random people. She soon figured out that the phone number previously belonged to a prostitute.
Julie Zimny says she bought the phone for her kids, all under the age of 12, to share and use at home. She thought the first couple of text messages were sent by an ex-boyfriend of the person who last had the number. But then other texts started coming in from people who appeared to be responding to an ad.
When Julie got up her nerve to respond to one of the texts, she learned that the phone number was in an escort ad on an adult website. Julie is now getting the kids a new phone number. (KVLY-TV)
