Oh America... Oh college... Oh student loan debt...
According to a recent study the average student loan debt for Class of 2017 graduates is $39,400. 70% of students graduate from college with a significant amount of debt. In fact Over 44 million Americans collectively hold nearly $1.5 trillion in student debt.
But NEVER FEAR! Because TruTv has come out with a new game show, Paid Off, to help the issue, because in the year 2018 we need game shows to help people pay off their debt. The description of the show says, " Student loan debt is out of control and comedian Michael Torpey (Orange is the New Black) has the foolish idea he can do something about it. Paid Off with Michael Torpey gives three lucky college grads – saddled with student debt – the chance to test the depth of their degrees in a fun, fast paced trivia gameshow. In the end, one lucky winner will get the chance to have their student debt wiped out."

If you think the show's existence is ridiculous, well you're not wrong. It is ridiculous and the host/creator knows this. But what's even more ridiculous is the fact that there are people in THOUSANDS of dollars in debt because they wanted to further their education, something that millennials have been told is necessary since we were born.
What do you think? You plan on watching this show? Do you plan on trying to get on the show? I know I am.
