Disney's much-anticipated streaming service Disney+ finally launched yesterday, and people spent all day combing through the various shows and movies it has to offer.
And one thing that was noticed pretty quickly was the way that Disney chose to handle the "outdated" content in some of their older movies.
Certain titles come with a content warning in their description that reads: “This program is presented as originally created. It may contain outdated cultural depictions.”
Many issues have come up in recent years about potentially racist and otherwise offensive scenes in Disney films that date back to the 1940's. Some people had speculated that Disney may cut out these "offensive" scenes altogether.
Dumbo is one of the titles with a content warning, as it famously features a scene with crows that portray racist stereotypes.
