Big Little Lies has gotten MANY people talking since the second season premiered, but one of the things that has fans especially concerned is Shailene Woodley's character Jane's new bangs.
Jokes about her new hairstyle have been all over Twitter for the past couple weeks - mainly pointing out how unflattering the bangs look.
Well now, Shailene herself has spoken up about the change - and she says it was HER idea!
She says she based it on her own methods of dealing with big changes in her life, like a “major breakup, triumph or celebration."
“I felt that Jane’s carried this weight of not feeling in her own body because of what’s happened to her,” Shailene explained.
“Maybe two or weeks after [Perry’s death,] she would have woken up and thought, ‘this isn’t who I am anymore’...In that moment, I feel like she took a pair of scissors and cut her bangs herself.”
